New Year, New Program: Introducing the Tenant Resource Center

Jesse Tree kicked off the new year by unveiling our Tenant Resource Center. This change reflects improvements to our phone line, which will now better connect our neighbors in housing crises to information, resources and support.

We trained our volunteers to provide more meaningful conversations to tenants and built out the information they can provide. Our redesigned webpage now has a user-friendly database of resources.

We are excited to launch this improvement to our programs so we can support more Treasure Valley renters in new ways.

We received 4,322 applications for rental assistance last year, but we were only able to support 25% of applicants with financial support.

As 2022 came to a close, our large COVID-era grant was expiring and we knew we would be able to support even less applicants with financial assistance.

We decided to pivot our front-end services to provide better connections and information to tenants when we are unable to assist them financially. Our hope is that tenants who contact us will walk away with meaningful knowledge, tools and resources which empower them to resolve their housing crises.
