Jesse Tree relies on volunteers to help us make a difference in our community.
Tenant Resource Center (TRC) Volunteer
1-3 hours per week
Jesse Tree’s Tenant Resource Center (TRC) is staffed by dedicated members of our community who volunteer their time to prevent eviction and homelessness in the Treasure Valley. If you would like to support your neighbors at risk of eviction, you can join Jesse Tree’s TRC team as a volunteer!
Please let us know if you are fluent in additional languages or have any other skill sets you would like to utilize during your volunteer opportunity!

18 years and older
Available during business hours (Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm)
Available to work in-person at our Boise office
Check voice messages, return calls, texts, and emails
Be a friendly problem-solver
Be trained on community programs and how to refer tenants to other necessary resources
Complete applications on the phone for individuals interested in applying for Jesse Tree’s programs
Educate tenants about Jesse Tree’s programs and services
Remain committed to keeping our clients’ information confidential
Communicate with other volunteers, Program Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator in a timely manner during shifts
Event Volunteer
3-4 hours per month
We are looking for volunteers to help Jesse Tree make a difference in our community tabling at community events, setting up and supporting Jesse Tree staff with fundraising events, and assisting with taking donations and/or payments for purchased Jesse Tree merch!
Volunteers will work with Jesse Tree staff to coordinate materials needed for events, help setup, and manage a table or booth. While tabling, walk people through the process of donating, volunteering or applying for assistance, accept donations or payment, and help takedown.
Volunteers will only be expected to know general information about Jesse Tree, which will be provided during an in-person onboarding.
