Housing Insecurity can happen to anyone

It's no secret that housing insecurity can happen to anyone, and many of our neighbors are one unanticipated expense away from eviction. Many people, however, don't reach out until it's too late because they are embarrassed or ashamed.

Over the last two years demand for our rental assistance resources has quadrupled, and we are only able to support 25% of people who apply for assistance.

The Jesse Tree team is sharing our stories of housing insecurity to show how personal this work is to us. By sharing our own experiences, we hope to honor the stories of the clients we serve and that others will be encouraged to reach out for help. Thankfully, generosity from the Treasure Valley has allowed us to serve more families than ever! So far in 2022, we have prevented eviction for 435 families by providing them with financial assistance and case management. Much of that support was made possible by people like you, and the more support we receive, the more families we can help.
